Fira Mediterrània Delegates Go to Visa for Music in Rabat (Morocco) - Stand, Showcase and Speed Dating session

Delegates from Fira Mediterrània Manresa are attending Visa for Music, the first African and Middle Eastern music trade fair from 16 to 19 November. Delegates from Fira Mediterrània Manresa are attending Visa for Music, the first African and Middle Eastern music trade fair from 16 to 19 November. They will be at a joint stand with the Ministry of Culture (as part of the Trade Fair Division of the Catalan Institute for Cultural Companies (ICEC) and the Creative Catalonia brand). Fira Mediterrània has a collaboration agreement with Visa for Music, as part of its 2016 National and International Plan of Action, which will see the Catalan band Yacine & The Oriental Groove perform on Friday 18 November at 20.30 in the La Renaissance venue in Rabat. As part of this agreement, delegates from both trade fairs will attend the other’s event in a communications exchange.

Visa for Music has a stands area and activity programme for professionals, featuring a conference and speed dating sessions during the day and showcases in the evenings. Besides having representatives at the stand, Fira Mediterrània delegates will participate in speed dating sessions on Thursday 17 November from 15.00 to 17.00. Making the most of the visit to Rabat, Fira representatives will also attend the European Forum of Worldwide Music Festivals.

Visa for Music is a key industry event, which is positioning itself as the main music trade fair in Africa and the Middle East. In 2005, 12,000 visitors attended the event, with more than 2,000 professionals, 360 artists and 100 exhibitors from 60 different countries. The fair is organised by ANYA and its main sponsor, who has also become its mentor, is the Royal family of Morocco.
