Flor de maig offers a new look at tradition from the perspective of post-modernity, fusing languages, and with ‘roots’ dance as its base, in a dialogue with urban and contemporary dance. The piece starts with the legend of La Dama de Can Fàbregues, linking it with several elements of popular tradition, and turning round the outcome to read it with a contemporary approach to gender.
