FOLK AS QUEER
The beginnings of the creation of a stage piece that searches among traditional practices for the connection between the construction of an identity – whether collective or individual – and the influence of cultural heritage. An untiring quest that is channelled through the sacred figure of the She-Devil in a historic Devils’ Dance in order to find the place where the traditional body and the dissident body interchange their language in communion, and learn to dance a new, emancipating dance.
