Re·Romanç originated in the research work of the musician Felip Pedrell, the centenary of whose death is being commemorated this year. In the Cancionero musical español his musicological work in the compiling of the repertoire of traditional songs of Spain was fundamental and pioneering. The performance brings these pieces into the present day, in an inter-disciplinary format (live performances of music, poetry and visual art).
