Orquestra de Músiques d'Arrel de Catalunya (OMAC)

This new offering from the OMAC, an orchestra composed of 34 interpreters of music from the Catalan Regions, explores the anthropological, ecological and artistic wealth of the Pyrenean transhumance, and concentrates on transhumanism in general.  It bases this on the songs which describe the long geographical routes involved, facilitating their memorisation, and on other surprising forms of music such as the ‘cant redoblat’.
