Pongo

Lisbon’s music scene has grown increasingly diverse, with music from the Portuguese-speaking regions of Africa at the leading edge of this trend, and now represents a unique post-colonial fabric of nationalities that is reflected in the music.  Pongo is one of the world’s leading kuduro artists and one of the Portuguese music scene’s greatest talents.  She left Angola for Lisbon and has now become part of the Portuguese sound in a way that would have been difficult to imagine just a few short years ago.
